The Turkish Mediterranean coast covers quite a distance. Typically the area between Kas and Alanya is called Turkish Riviera. This fully developed region offers an excellent infrastructure for tourism, social and economic activites.

There still are a lot of places here that provide peace and solitude to experience the sights and sounds of this beautiful country without the fast paced noisy tourism. Which is a major reason why so many people are hopelessly in love with Turkey: It is full of contrasts and differences.

Solitude meets tourism, swimming and diving. Surfing meets skiing, climbing and snowboarding, while ancient ruins and remote bays are not far away from modern cities like Antalya, Alanya, Kemer or Manavgat.

At some point in life the thought might occur - why not build a second house in another country? Another place to call home. A place that offers an excitingly new and different perspective on life.

Can the Turkish Riviera fulfill this dream and offer you a second home?

Most likely life in Turkey will be different from what you are used to in your home country. You will benefit from a a mild, warm and sunny climate throughout the entire year (weather and climate Turkey). People usually spend their days outside, which automatically leads to a more intense communication than in northern European countries for instance.

We mainly offer properties that are located in a littoral, which is directly surrounded by the sea and the Taurus mountain chain. The turquoise-blue Mediterranean Sea at the Turkish Riviera is currently one of the cleanest regions of the entire Mediterranean Sea.

The people here do speak a different language in more than one way. Take the word “heart” for instance. The Turkish language knows ten different terms for heart and the amazing number of 50 different words for “lover”. Unfortunately the word “honor” also has at least ten different names.

The act of helping is seen as an honor and comes naturally. People simply like to help whenever there is need. • There is a general feeling of solidarity towards one another. • Strangers are always welcomed warmly and treated as honored guests.

Well, the wish to help, a feeling of solidarity, an embellishing language, it sounds quite good, the following can also be said in regard of the turkish people.

What one promises today, might not last till tomorrow, there are thousands of swearwords. • Punctuality and compromises are unknown concepts. • Turks generally are quite emotional compared to other nations. They prefer to decide quickly and by heart instead of reasoning things out for too long.

In this context it has to be mentioned though, that the reliability, quality and pace of companies, government agencies, lawyers, mancufacturers etc. has increased considerably in the last ten years and is closing in on European standards.

On the one hand the American “Newsweek” magazine titled Istanbul as one of the coolest cities in Europe. On the other hand, looking at the country in its entirety, it is obvious that there is still a lot of work to do.

Should you decide to take the chance and spend some time in Turkey it can be helpful to be aware of these discrepancies.

Your are just as safe as in any other European country.

The health care offers all the modern treatments and respects international clinic standards. In some fields medical research and development is even competing for top positions.
Time is something altogether different in Turkey. One just has a lot of time. Having time is not a question of money - it is just there and it is seen as a god-given fact, like the weather for example.
Life with all its comforts is still affordable in Turkey - even in the touristic areas.

Recent estimates see the accretion of Real Estate at the Turkish Riviera at about 20 to 35% in the last few years.

The prices of Real Estate are expected to rise up to those in Spain within the next 10 to 15 years.
